How to Buy
Step 1: Register
Registering is free and easy. You can register at http://www.discogs.com/users/create.
Step 2: Find what you want to buy (Records, CDs, Tapes, etc...)
- Searching – If you’re looking for a specific
item, select the Marketplace link from the menu bar at the top of the
page and use the search field to find it – you can use the filters
to help narrow your search.
- Browsing – If you aren’t sure what you want
to buy, you can use the filters within the Marketplace to browse items
that meet your desired criteria (e.g., Techno records from 1992 that are
less than $5).
Note: Before buying, click on the sellers name to view payment details,
and verify if they accept the method of payment you would like to use.
Step 3: Buying what you find
Click the “Add to Cart” button to add what you’ve found
to your cart. If you want to look for additional items, click the “Continue
Shopping” button. If you’ve completed your shopping, click
the “Checkout” button and enter your information on the following
checkout page to complete and confirm your order.
Step 4: Paying for what you’ve bought
The seller(s) you purchased from will send you a total for your order(s),
including shipping, handling, and payment instructions.
Note: It’s recommended that you always use a secure payment method
such as a credit card or other payment service that protects you as a
buyer.
Step 5: Leave Feedback for the Seller
Feedback is optional but should be left, once a transaction has been completed,
so that other buyers may benefit from your experience. It’s important
to remember that once feedback is left, it becomes a permanent part of
the user’s profile. You should always try to work out any problems
with the seller before leaving feedback – most issues can be resolved
through good communication.
