Format (after title)

Is it still ok to use Album Name (Limited Edition) (or anything like that) or should the format just go to the format field and nowhere else? I couldn't find any information from the submission guidelines against or for this matter.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. Folks just still keep on adding it after the title, so I tried to find something to refer to and couldn't find anything about the subject. :)

It should clearly go in the Format field and nowhere else, unless there is clear evidence it's part of the title (I'm not aware of any such cases off the top of my head).

I've brought this up before (last post in http://www.discogs.com/help/forums/topic/169600 ) but with no response whatsoever.

why we should mention the fomat twice as long as it has a separated field in the submission procedure?

I agree ^^, only into format field and nowhere else.

For the group/band listing or label listing it IS very practical, to see some added information such as limited edition, or so. In the listings, so-called "First Press Edition" are shorted, only "Fir" is readable. In the label listing, this isn't very helpful, as nobody can actually know what it means. I would rather use those terms in a case by case basis.

This is more of a display issue that can be sorted out in a better way than adding the format to title, IMO.

If we add something but it's not actually part of the title, at that point we're just making stuff up.

For those who don't have it. The spines do not say the Limited Double Edition portion, but it's on the Front Cover and both CDs.
